Meet Ray Christine
Dr. Christine grew up in Kokomo and graduated from Haworth High School
in 1970. He attended Purdue University and graduated with honors in 1974
with a chemistry and biology degree. While there he was a member of Phi
Kappa Phi and Phi Bet Kappa scholastic honoraries.
He then pursued a doctorate degree in graduate school at Purdue. He
studied neuroanatomy under Dr Gopal Das. His area of study was embryonic
development of the brain and transplantation of neural tissue.
While there he published and presented papers on his studies.
In 1979 he entered dental school at Indiana University and graduated
in 1983 with a degree in general dentistry. While he was in dental school
he was employed by the Oral Health Research Institute. In his research
there he developed a new microelectrode measuring system to measure the
pH changes in the plaque on teeth. He published and presented papers
on this research while he was in dental school. The Oral Health Research
Institute used this system as their measuring standard until 1998.
Dr. Christine has enjoyed practicing general dentistry since 1983. He
worked for three years in Monon and Lafayette, IN before coming to Kokomo
in 1986. He has practiced here since then.
He has two daughters, Katherine and Sarah. He has been married to his
wife Terry since 1979. She graduated from veterinary school at Purdue
in 1986 and is practicing veterinarian in Kokomo at Northeast Animal
Clinic.
Dr. Christine and his family are members at Fairfield Christian Church.
